Meet some of our teachers

Aya Horiba

"I took over as the Young Learner Manager recently; I really love teaching kids because I enjoy seeing people reaching their potential. I want everybody to have a great time when they come to the British Council, so it’s important for our classes to be fun and educational at the same time.

Teaching children is about letting the kids express themselves, and interacting in a positive, safe environment. Teaching really inspires me, and it seems to run in the family."

Jean Asienzo

"I love teaching children, it makes me happy.  I find the students interesting, we learn a lot from each other, and I have found that I have developed so much since becoming a teacher. The children here like having a playful environment to work in, so I try hard to make the lessons stimulating for them.

I started working for the British Council in South Sudan soon after I graduated where I taught a lot of business English, but I found that I really loved teaching children because they bring me such joy."
