Meet Mutaman Swar, an architect, Creative Director of Degraphy Studios (a combination of Design and Photography). Degraphy is a multidisciplinary creative studio that advocates to consider and experience sustainable art practices. Mutaman is also the Managing Director at 249 Writers, a Graffiti group that works in promoting visual arts as a way of self-expression. as a visual artist, he contributes to many art exhibitions and events worldwide. 

He applied to the British Council’s Creative Enterprise Programme (CEP) and was selected to participate in the programme held in Uganda. In partnership with Nesta, CEP is a three-day capacity building workshop developed from our Creative Enterprise Toolkit, that helps entrepreneurs to visualize the future, identify their audience and build the perfect business model.

Over the past 2 years, more than 20 Sudanese artists from various art forms have participated in the Creative Enterprise Programme in Uganda, developing their business skills and applying the knowledge gained to enhance their business within the creative economy.
