We asked David to reflect back on his experience living and working in Sudan. From his answers below David gave us a glimpse of what he enjoyed the most.

What is your favourite thing about Sudan?

The weather is my favourite thing. It’s always sunny and you can go for a swim, or a BBQ any day of the week.

What are you going to miss the most here?

The people. I have met and made so many friends in my four and a half years in Sudan. Also the Nile, the desert, and the trees and wildlife. Walking around Tutti Island early in the morning.

What is your preferred Sudanese food?

A homemade Salatat Dakwa with Sudanese company!

Name one unique thing about Sudanese English Language learners?

The willingness to participate in class activities and enjoy learning new skills. Students create a positive atmosphere in the class room that makes the job very rewarding as a teacher.
