Following recent directives from the Sudanese Government, the British Council has limited our operations with several restrictions in place until further notice. They are as follows:
Examination services
IELTS
To protect the health of IELTS test takers in light of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), IELTS tests have been suspended in Sudan until further notice.
Affected test-takers will be eligible for a transfer or refund by contacting our centre via email info@sd.britishcouncil.org.
Professional and university exams
All professional, medical and university exams are suspended until further notice, to request a refund please contact the exam board for approval and send us a request via info@sd.britishcouncil.org to process the refund.
All MRCP (UK) examinations cancelled until September 2020.
School exams
Following announcements made by Cambridge on the cancellation of the May/June 2020 examination sessions, the examination board will provide an update for both schools and private candidates. You can access the latest information from Cambridge Assessment International Qualifications via this link.
English Teaching Centre
Our face to face classes have been suspended until further notice. Online classes are offered as an alternative for the time being. Some classes started on 5 April 2020. All registered students have been contacted and will be regularly updated.
Programmes in Arts, Education and Society
All programmatic activities covered through our work in cultural engagement (Arts, Social Enterprise, Education and Skills) that includes potential gathering of people has been postponed until further notice. We will continue to engage actively with our partners/stakeholder in due course to assess and monitor the current circumstances until the Covid-19 situation is neutralized. The ISTEP training programmes will continue as soon as possible.
