How do I book for IELTS? 

Registration for IELTS is simple, access this link.

1- Fill out the online application.

2- Once completed you will receive an Acknowledgment email which is the invoice.

3- Payment instructions are included:

Visit Bank of Khartoum British Council sub-branch and present two printed copies of this Email to the bank cashier. Bank working days Sunday-Thursday, hours from 09:00 AM 13:30 PM.

Payment is in cash only.

How can I transfer my test date?

If you need to change the date of your test from the date you originally booked, you can request a test day transfer up to five weeks before the test date, free of charge.

The new test date must be within three months of the original date.

Please note if a transfer is approved 25% fees will be charged.

In cases of illness, transfer is possible within five weeks of the test if an original medical certificate is provided within five working days of the test date, together with the Request for Refund or Test Date Transfer Form.

If you receive a transfer to a new test date (either before the test or due to illness) and are ill on the second test date, then you are not entitled to a refund of the test fee nor to any further transfer to a new test date.

How can I cancel a test a request a refund?

Candidates who seek to cancel their registration within the five-week period prior to the test date will only receive a refund if they can satisfy to the

Administrator that their ability to sit the test has been

affected by illness or serious cause. Serious causes include:

• illness – e.g. hospital admission, serious injury or illness

(does not include minor illness such as a mild cold)

• loss or bereavement – death of a close family member

• hardship/trauma – victim of crime, victim of a traffic

accident

• military service.

If refund is approved, you will receive a refund minus an administration fee of 25% of the test fee for IELTS and 50% for UKVI.

No refunds will be allowed for IELTS within five weeks of the test date, unless with exception above. 

To cancel your IELTS (Academic and General Training) test, please log in to the Test Taker Portal and submit a cancellation request, along with an upload of supporting documentation/evidence. 

Please note refund process can take up to 21 days, from date of completing the request, if no email has been received, please send an email to info@sd.britishcouncil.org
